Our training team, assists Departments of Social Services staff in learning to use computer applications related to Temporary Assistance (TA), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). We use a state of the art mobile computer lab and a training database to provide hands-on classroom training with realistic case scenarios. Additionally, we provide one-on-one coaching sessions where we help workers process actual case work, right at their desk. Moreover, we develop e-learning modules that demonstrate specific functions of the system. Our goal is to provide high-quality training that exceeds the needs of our stakeholders.
We offer training to eligibility workers who provide public-assistance and SNAP (food stamp) services in New York City. We keep them current on the latest state and federal regulations and coach them in best practices. We also provide technical assistance, including quality-assurance testing and software guides, to New York State employees who develop and maintain the computer systems used by eligibility workers. Our goal is to provide high-quality training that exceeds the needs of our stakeholders.
