With staff located in Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, and New York City, LEADS currently conducts training throughout the State of New York. Our work includes training supervisors and managers who work for the nation’s largest local social services agency, New York City DSS, as well as providing training, technical assistance, and critical systems support to county social service workers throughout the State of New York. Our training related services help eligibility workers apply best practices when providing temporary assistance to eligible families and individuals across the state. The professional development services we provide assist in the delivery of programs such as Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), child support services, employment services, and homelessness services. We also have many years of experience training child welfare staff, from front line workers to administrators. We utilize applied research and evaluation methods to inform the implementation, design, and development of programs and training. This enables us to provide the highest quality services. We are always working to engage learners and strengthen communities.
